Terms of Use
Last updated: October 22, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Vincent's Light, Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada ("Galleriola", "we"). By creating an account or using galleriola.com you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. What Galleriola does
You upload a photo of a painting. We straighten and colour-correct it, design rooms for it and place your painting into them as mockups. Galleriola also lets you keep records of your paintings, collectors, exhibitions and opportunities, and make gallery packs and portfolios.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to open an account.
- Keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- One person per account. Accounts can't be shared or resold.
3. Your paintings and your content
- You keep all rights to the paintings and photos you upload and to the text you enter.
- You promise you have the right to upload them: you made the work, or the artist or rights holder has allowed you to.
- You give us a limited licence to store, process and display your uploads only to run the service for you: to make your rooms and mockups, show them in your account, and create the documents you ask for. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups kept for up to 30 days.
- We never sell your paintings, never show them to other users, and never use them to train anything.
4. Mockups you make
- The mockups, crops and documents you make with Galleriola are yours to use for any lawful purpose, including commercial use: your website or shop, Etsy and other marketplaces, ads, social media, catalogues and printed promotion. No credit to Galleriola is required.
- Free-plan downloads carry a small Galleriola watermark. Don't remove or crop it out.
5. The room library
- Each room designed for your painting is private to you for 30 days. After that, the empty room, without your painting, joins the shared room library, where other users can place their own paintings in it.
- Rooms you mark as private (an extra charge per room) never join the library.
- By using Galleriola you allow us to add your empty rooms to the library as described here. Your painting is never part of a library room.
6. Plans, payments and refunds
- Prices are shown in US or Canadian dollars before you pay. Our reseller, Paddle, is the merchant of record: Paddle processes payment, adds and pays sales tax where it applies, and handles refunds and billing questions under Paddle's buyer terms.
- Monthly plans renew each month until you cancel; the yearly option is the monthly plan paid once a year. The 7-day pass does not renew.
- Rooms included in a plan don't carry over to the next month. Extra rooms you buy are added to your account.
- If a room fails our quality checks, we redo it at no charge or return the room to your plan.
- When you cancel or a pass ends, your account moves to the free plan. You choose 5 paintings to keep active with their mockups; the rest are hidden, not deleted, and come back if you subscribe again.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Galleriola to:
- upload work you don't have the right to use, or content that is illegal, hateful, sexual involving minors, or that harms others;
- try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or get around plan limits;
- scrape the room library or the Opportunities listings, or resell them.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. If you think something on Galleriola infringes your rights, email [email protected] with the details and we'll look into it promptly.
8. Opportunities listings
Listings of open calls, markets and galleries are gathered from organizers' public pages and checked on the date shown. Details change: always confirm with the organizer before you apply or pay a fee. We're not responsible for organizers' decisions or for missed deadlines.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Galleriola running and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is". We may change features or these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect losses such as lost sales. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
11. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We delete your paintings, photos and mockups within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep records (for example, billing records kept by Paddle). Empty rooms already in the library stay there.
12. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Questions: [email protected].
